Welcome to the OHM Experience

OHMe: The Open Her Mic Experience

Welcome to the OHMe Experience! A place to come learn how to grow the power of you. Our website is a companion to our podcast. Our podcast focuses on applying Ohm’s Law to everyday problems to help people channel their “power” in order to create plans for accomplishing the goals and objectives they are struggling to conquer. This website will host links to our podcasts, provide after show information, and provide supporting resources and tools to help expand the learnings and discoveries unlocked on our show beyond the podcast mic. So, come in, take a look around and explore, grow and discover …

The POWER in you

Come Experience OHM

About OHMe

Ohm’s Law refers to a very fundamental law in electric circuits. In a nutshell, there are three main components V= Voltage, I= Current (Intensity), R= Resistance. Ohm’s Law refers to the relationship between the three components and how they work together to generate power within a conductor in order to produce an outcome. Voltage is the power source and defines how many volts are needed to get the outcome, while Current speaks to the flow of electrons based on the required voltage and finally resistance is the impediment required to shape the flow. These parameters are proportional and inversely proportional in order to create enough controlled flow of electricity to power the desired apparatus. Ok so that was a mouthful and probably a little confusing at best. So, why in the world are we looking at OHM’s Law? No, I am not even close to being an engineer and I don’t pretend to be but I found the principles of the law to fit how life can sometimes work! In life, you have a goal, an objective or something you want to accomplish. You have energy or a flow that drives you towards different things in life. In the same breath, you have things that may slow your flow or help shape it, i.e. boundaries, this is equivalent to resistance. These elements work together when they are in equilibrium and light up the world, however, when they are not in balance or not in proportion, the system will not work. If the current or flow pushes the electrons through the conductor too quickly and there is not enough resistance to help control it, the system fails. Isn’t life the same? When your energy flows out of control or outside of the boundaries, chances are you will not accomplish the goals you set out to achieve. That’s the heart of our podcast. We want to help people correct their current/flow in order to meet their goals or at least help them develop a plan to address the things getting in your way. We want to look at your energy, we want to understand your power sources, we want to explore and examine your resistors and understand where things are not in equilibrium. The “e”– in math the exponent is the amount of power the formula is increased by– for us we are using the “e” to call out the power in you that you will discover to help balance out your equation.
